On the last Saturday of April, the opening day of Trout Fishing season, kids gather at Johnson's Pond in Mancelona for fishing. Free hot dogs and beverages while supplies last. Fishing officially opens at 9:00 a.m. The details are announced by Village of Mancelona.  Fishing is open for kids age 14 and under. Hosted by Village of Mancelona and sponsors. Pond is on south end of Danforth.
